So, I'm driving home and I am maybe 5 to 10 minutes out when the oil light goes on. Get home without any major catastrophe despite the fact that I'm reportedly supposed to pull over immediately. I couldn't bear the idea of being on the side of the road waiting for roadside assistance. Checked the oil and there is a bit left on the dipstick. Definitely low. Racked my brain, troubleshooting. Do I take an Uber to an auto supply store? Do I call friends/family to drive me around? Ah ha! Evidently, motor oil can be delivered to your door. Waiting the results now. Haven't quite found my peace yet. But there is hope.
